That’s a good feeling. Also helps that they rule.
Stayed up way too late (as usual) and took my dog out before going to bed (as usual) around 12:30 am. I stepped out the back door and thought "nice moon" (as usual) and then saw a very large owl sitting in a tree! What a cool sight

JK it's been over 32° for the past 3 days so nobody has sleptHappy for you @Harry Klippton
The best (well maybe not best, but really good) part is that it isn’t a thousand degrees out yet so it’s actually enjoyable to do work![]()
Some people refer to my guitar playing as "chopping firewood".....It's officially the best time of the year. The poppies and lilacs are blooming at the same time, tractor is running good, my chainsaw is running well after sitting almost two years. I might like cutting firewood more than playing guitar. I'm finally working on the flower gardens in the front of my house after 5 years of neglect. everyone in my household is healthier and more able than we've been in many years. Things are looking up for the first time in a long time

I didn't even know pedal repair was a big enough thing that they need somebody--how many pedals are you repairing? My local guitar store has been throwing some pedals my way the last year or so to take a look at and fix up. I've been happy to help them out and fix what I can, usually just in exchange for some strings. They approached me this week about actually joining the team in an official capacity to be their pedal repair guy! So now I am an official employee and will be making a few bucks for my work. They are all really nice guys there and I've gotten to know them real well in the last few years, so I'm really excited to be able to help them out in this capability (and getting a discount now doesn't hurt either)
Well, its not a full time thing, but definitely a good side hustle. I've usually been getting 3-5ish a month to take a look at. Yesterday they handed me three of them to look over.I didn't even know pedal repair was a big enough thing that they need somebody--how many pedals are you repairing?
I need to think about the good things in life.
Both my spawn finished up school, and they're kicking tail in studies and otherwise. I've got a lot of good things going for me, including loving fam that keep me going through the hard days and the good.
Service and being a good neighbor. That stuff right there keeps me going in the in-between. That's not a humble-brag, I just feel good when I do good. Maybe that's the old boy scout in me.
