what are the ground pads for on PPCB boards?

Hi all, here's a probably silly question, but what are the ground pads for on the PedalPCB boards? They're usually up by the plus and minus pads to connect the power. I've never connected them to anything, but now I'm curious.... here's a screengrab of what I'm talkin' about.

They are for wiring to your input and output 1/4" jacks... specifically for the sleeve

Those are for the ground lugs on your input and output jacks

If you don't wire the jacks to those grounds it won't work. Been there and done that after, in my building days, I just let the the case act as the common ground.

Thanks for the explanation, most of my pedals are built using Power I/O modules for power and I/O connections. Is there anything I should be doing with these regarding the ground pads?

Nothing to do as long as you connect in, out and power to the actual board.
