What's for dinner?

We had the crappiest pizza I’ve had in a long time tonight. At least the drinks were delivered to our booth on a little train. Our daughter got a kick outta that.

Last night my mother in law took the kiddo overnight, giving us a chance to walk up the street to one of my favorite restaurants.

My wife is a vegetarian and I used to be one too, so I eat meatless most of the time out of convenience, so when we go out I usually get a steak.

I used to live near a French place called Cafe duBerry and would also order their unbelievable steak as my big treat (also married a vegan). Only we'd always go there for breakfast so I'd get it next to the best French toast I've ever had. (Speaking of thisiswhyimfat.com) Found out later it was a go to for the Portland Trailblazers and they would regularly have specifically French toast and steaks delivered to the airport on their way out of town.

Today in crimes against pizza....Peeps pizza.

there used to be a pizza place in Madison called Ian’s. It may still be there, who knows. They had some dodgy pizzas but also some really solid ones. Mac n cheese pizza, chicken parm pizza, some weird barbecue pizza. No peeps pizza tho.

This was during the dizziest heights of Chappelle’s Show and because frats, Ian’s had to put up a sign that read, “You are not Rick James.” It was an awful lot to deal with just to get a decent meal (to rip off a line from an old Arc Angels song).

Reminds me of a burger place called Calamity James that serves both a pb&j burger as well as a s'more burger. 🤢

I love pb&j burgers. I had some s'mores wings on national chicken wing day a few years ago, and they were a contributing factor to me barfing in the backyard at like 2 am tho. I also had a hot dog bar as the theme for my birthday party like 10 years ago and made a s'mores hot dog

Oh for sure, definitely down with pb n b. Fruit + meat is often a no for me. Al pastor being a giant exception.
Ya Al Pastor is definitely one of my favorite things on earth. So many good places for pastor in Chicago too. I like pastor tortas more than tacos. Flacco’s tacos is my favorite here
