What's in the mailbox? 📬 📦

I have already lost hope that this one will ever appear here.
Of course I cracked it open and the PCB is A) huge B) densely populated C) SMD ... I'm not saying it won't get traced, just that a finished DIY product is going to be pretty expensive (for DIY) and almost certainly large

there are some digital micro controllers in there too I think, controlling the brake and ramp functions. It's would likely be a big, ambitious project that would likely be expensive. How do you like it though?

I'm looking at the picture of the board now.. well.. 5 to 7 LM13700, at least two quad opamps four small ic's , something bigger, in SO16 package (text on the package is not visibie. reminds me NE570).

are those stacked boards? If you look at the bottom it looks like there is another board and set of components at the bottom. I like big ambitious projects as well, I'd just be happy at this point to see a schematic, there is sooo much going on here!

That's possible... Under the text wwwmodezerocom there are 8 solder pads. Perhaps from the connector between the boards?

I know right. It sounds so good- I can even dine it in my house without breaking the windows.
I have a two notes captor and cab m+ for use with my 35 watt DR, worth every penny. The attenuator is good and being able to play/record any time of day or night while running it at 4.5 on the volume is everything to me. But I've had 2 PR's in the past and love them!

I’ve been looking at some of those- you definitely recommend it? I usually just use AmpliTube on the laptop for late night playing lately.

@homebrewtj I'm a stay at home dad, primary caregiver, and I was struggling to play guitar at all for over a year. I tried lots of things like a zoom modeler, just playing unplugged, but those were really lacking. Now with the captor and cab m, I play every day with my amp and pedals, and it's so fulfilling.
I decided a few weeks ago to prioritize playing over everything else in my limited free time (bathroom renovation be damned) and I'm noticing a great improvement to my mental health as a result.

I absolutely recommend it, @Harry Klippton took my recommendation and uses his every chance he gets
Have you tried any of the analog CAB Sim pedals compared to the CAB M+? I have the CaptorX built into my current amp and the IR's are pretty great. But I just ordered a new custom amp and will be needing some sort of cab sim or IR loader. I'm leaning heavily towards just getting a CAB M+, but I'm also going to build the UNiCab and the ROG cab sim pedals to see how usable they are for me. (May favorite cab in the Two Notes stuff is the Pete Thorn 2x12, love that IR)
