When you need a small cap for transistor RF noise..

..but the PCB doesn't accommodate it, do you just tack the cap to the transistor? I am talking for example putting a 120-150pF cap across Q2bc of a Si fuzz face

Tack it on the board, opposite the transistor, pot side.
