Well then Taobao’s the Sino-version of Amazon.

You buy stuff on one of the worst online shopping platforms ever devised; the search engine is Horrid and if you don’t read/write Chinese good luck navigating the sites via translation programs. Many shops that advertise on Taobao won’t ship outside of China so you’d have to find a proxy forwarder which makes shipping overseas expensive and negates the ultra-cheap pricing,
So you check their feedback and # of satisfied customers and then decide if you want to roll the dice…
Sometimes you find a legit vendor who has real stock of fair-quality products — the ruler I posted came from such a vetted trusted seller, and it’s one of my better purchases.
