There is no doubt that Dan Erlerwine is a genius.....but as usual per StewMac....it's pricey.

Does yours have the LED Light attachment?
I am a Boilermaker/Welder by Trade.
Just take that with you and find a Bolt thread that matches & buy the nut & Weld it to a piece of Angle Iron or Plate.
I have done it with a 9'' Grinder & 5'' with Bolt & Locking nut that screws into the Grinder where the Handle goes when I want to use a Wire Bush or Buffing pad in my Offset 5'' Swivel Steel Vice that I built over 40 years ago as a 2nd Year Apprentice! ( Now I'm showing my Age)
I should take a Photo and show it if you would like to see?

I just bought a Dremel too when i needed to route out the square for the red toggle switch for the electrovibe. That stand would be a great compliment to your Dremel for sure!

I couldn't weld myself out of a hole full of snakes....hahahah. My Dremel is literally about 25 years old. I think I'm due for an upgrade.

Any thoughts on the cordless ones? Do they have enough "juice" for stuff like grinding, routing and cutting?

I don't own any Tool that relies on a Battery, they are always Flat when you need them the most when I have used one!!!

Did the job routing that rectangle on the steel enclosure if it grinded away steel im pretty sure if your using it for regular aluminum enclosures youll be fine!

I have an older battery powered Dremel and it's not very powerful. The only thing I use it for is a wire brush to clean rust off the battery terminals on my tractor

I don't own any Tool that relies on a Battery, they are always Flat when you need them the most when I have used one!!!

I agree going that route as well i just dont have a permanent work place to set up tools like that! everything i have that has a cord has literally lasted my dad decades and im using them now with no problems.

Yeah i only suggested that one above cause i use it but i wasnt thinking that thats what suited ME id say go with a corded dremel for sure!

Get the Dremel 4000 series, I had a 3000 series and it shat itself just out of warranty with about 6 hrs on it, Bad ventilation caused it to get warm quickly & stuff the windings inside!
Mine is actually a 4300, stronger motor than 4000 model!
