When I was looking through all the pedals at Sweetwater yesterday, I kept thinking “I can make that for a fraction of the price” or “that’s stupidly expensive and I’d never buy it.”

It was a weird feeling. I feel like I have no desire to keep up with the pedal industry, I just like to make them. Maybe the cool digital stuff though- I’d like to learn more about that stuff and get back into programming. Maybe I was just in a mood. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm currently in the middle of a classic overdrive building spree. The rig I'm using now is vastly different to the rig I used when I tried these pedals years ago. So I gotta make sure I'm not missing something. So I lined up a a bunch of stuff, did a shootout with everything. Honestly........sd-1 is the best. Like why am I even building anything . I should have just listened to @MichaelW

For sheer flexibility, the gamut, and quality of tones, I'm finding it really hard to beat the Chuck d. Bones version of the Deofol.

I don't know. I'm playing gained up Marshall with a Lea Paul. Generally a boost or an OD set as a boost is what works best for me.

I don’t know about all of that. I think that my preferred 9v gain circuit is superior to whatever you guys are using regardless of what amp or pickups you’re using.
