Your best and worst pedal hot takes? 🔥

Amp tone matters less with each pedal added to the chain. At a point, you only need to make the pedals louder. TL/DR: expensive tubes amps don’t matter when all your tone comes from pedals…
I don’t know, man- my pedalboard of 8 sounds different with my DR build than with my AC30/15 hybrid!

With you on the true bypass vs. buffer nonsense though.

yeah well apparently your "spite build" is a "bad copy" that "deletes a lot of the unique stuff, a few key things not in the PSU"

2) Builders who claim that something is incorrect or "deleted" from a circuit without giving even the slightest vague reference as to what that "unique stuff" might actually be... almost as if they're being dishonest.

It's uncanny how that one bit that I always seem to overlook or miss happens to also be the most important piece of the puzzle.

Start gooping portions of the boards you send out with pre-soldered “mojo” and maybe they’ll get off your back. Hit them with “outer-order harmonics” and “pre-gain texture-curvature” and see if you can beat them to death with their own techno-babble

Who knew that a buffer was only a few components away from something totally different but 100% functionally the same but also better but in no way different aside from marketing? Neato. learning-learnding.gif

We should spend as much time playing or improving our playing as we do obsessing over how the slightly salty taste of a 1n34a is were the Klon tone really comes from. We have some very talented artists around here; visual artists and others. TL/DR: there should be a sub forum called the Jam Room where we can share our own stuff, backing tracks, have covers contests, tutorials on how to record at home, etc…
I love this more than any other post! I would gladly throw up any track from my videos and personal library for folks to riff on.

Here is a hot take for you all. Creating digital artwork is like playing through a modeler or screwing with three rubbers on. It sucks
