SOLVED XC Phase: No Phase Effect

Just boxed up my XC Phase and I am not getting any kind of phaser sound out of it. The only thing I get when engaging the pedal and messing with the controls is a bit of boost and a coloration of the signal. Unfortunately did not get a picture of the bottom before boxing but here is a picture of it in the enclosure. After reading some of the other troubleshooting threads I tried to adjust the trim and broke the little plastic top off accidentally (can still adjust with tiny screwdriver). After turning the trim pot either way in small increments, I have noticed no phase effect but sometimes get a consistent ticking noise. One other thing, instead of using On-On SPDT switches, I used On-Off-On on accident. Don't know if this would cause an issue as well. Any help is appreciated!

Are your JFETs oriented properly?

I believe so. My PCB does not have the "Rev 2" on it so it is Rev 1 with the backward silkscreen. I also bought the 2N5952's as matched quad set.

I have not, just trusted the vendor. I will look into how to check them now.

The JFETs are oriented correctly for your board.

You'll get no phasing with the "Stages" switch in the middle position, but otherwise the On/Off/On switches won't cause any problems.

your trimpot appears to be having an issue, where did the top go?

Are all your transistor legs making full contact with their sockets? I find that occasionally one of the legs doesn't make contact, and if I put pressure on the transistor, suddenly everything works. Just something to test.

DMM in Diode/Continuity test mode. Touched the red lead to gate (1) and black to drain (3). I'm guessing it is more complicated than this? I see testers sold online but not sure if that will help me match.

Big thanks to fig for hooking up the matched set of transistors as these were indeed the problem. Swapped them out then found the tiny sweet spot with the trim pot. Reamp box and guitar loop for the win there.
