So... I made a terrible mistake... (new guitar related)...

Fortunately I'm still at the terrible mistake level, not the catastrophic mistake level. I went an played one of these:

It's the new American Vintage II '57 strat... I figure, eh, it's just another strat. I've got strats... but what I don't have is a strat with a 7.5" radius neck... which, as it turns out, is really awesome for certain types of playing...

... so now I "need" another strat. Fortunately I looked at the budget and it said "NO"... so I'm not at the "catastrophic" mistake level of actually having bought it... just the "terrible" mistake level of having played it and loved it... *lol* :D
 
You know people make such a big deal about "the unplayability" of 7.25" radius, which is all a bunch of BS. If it's set up correctly you can bend to your hearts content (David Gilmour anyone?). Having said that, my favorite radius is still straight 10".

I say you "DESERVE" this guitar and that you "NEED" it.......go buy it!

I don't think it's a soft V, but it is a V... which I also don't have...

My #1 strat is a "Modern D" 10"-14" - 22 medium jumbo frets
My partscaster with the EMD GD20's is a "Deep C" 9.5" radius with narrow tall frets
 
I recently made the mistake of playing a guitar in the store that I wanted badly like a year and a half ago. It was as good or better than I had imagined it. Sadly I am not in any position to purchase it though

I was like that with my current #1 strat... fortunately I was able to save enough pennies to get it...

... about 8 months after I first played it...

I also feel that dude. I will never buy a guitar I haven't played ever again. It rarely works out well. The only time I think I'd buy without playing now is if it was the really cheap, but I also don't buy budget guitars anymore. They usually act as a gateway into a more expensive version.

Same af. I'm not interested in budget guitars or churning gear in general. That said, there are a few things I'm interested in acquiring when I'm able, and a good strat is one of them. Nudge nudge @Fingolfen

I'm just looking to get back to where I was eventually, I'd like to replace my goldtop and my 335 when I can and then I'm done... he said almost with a straight face :ROFLMAO:
