Same for me. Best wife
Has she got a sister?I don’t know, my wife enables me and hates when I sell them.
My old guitar teacher had 200. He was a swinging bachelor and lived in house about 2,000 sq ft give or take a couple hundred. He had a couple rooms where they were just stacked to the point entry was impossible in addition to being displayed in every corner of the house.Truth!

Man, I always wondered hey guys managed to do that.I got a buddy obsessed with buying the same guitars his heroes play, taking them to their concerts and getting them signed, haven't caught up with him in a while but he was in the 60-guitars range not to mention the guitars he actually plays, he got Johnny Winter's signature on his Firebird a year or two before he passed.
Man, I always wondered hey guys managed to do that.
This guy usually buys a meet and greet when available prior to the show, and he apparently. has cash to throw around, and some of them were at guitar clinics and suchI took a prs to a talk Paul Smith was doing to get signed but I can't imagine carrying a guitar to a show. Carrying it round all night would be an absolute pain.
Idk... I'm a bit of an autograph collector, and it's been extremely difficult in the past just to bring a 13" snare head to concerts in hopes of getting them signed, and even still I only have like a 30% success rate if evenMan, I always wondered hey guys managed to do that.
I was one of those guys. Except it was easy for me because my apartment was a couple blocks away from where he was giving a talk.I took a prs to a talk Paul Smith was doing to get signed but I can't imagine carrying a guitar to a show. Carrying it round all night would be an absolute pain.
Somedays I wonder if I shouldn't have gone down the "swinging bachelor" route......My old guitar teacher had 200. He was giving a talk at Maryland Institute College of Art; the school was created business program aimed at monetizing art.
My girlfriend at the time was taking graphic design courses and brought me there because I build myself.
It was a bit of a cringeworthy experience. Instead of students, the audience was populated by middle aged men (presumably lawyers) wearing Ed Hardy and Tommy Bahama shirts whose sole intent for being there was to fluff his nuts and bash Gibson.
When I mentioned I was a fan and built guitars he got pretty edgy with me in his demeanor. He was still gracious enough to sign my guitar.
For the record, Joe Knaggs has a much better personality and is much kinder.

It was a weird experience. The event wasn't a guitar workshop but a commencement for a program meant to teach art students business concepts with the aim of giving them the tools to make their art profitable.Wow. That wasn't my experience at all and I've been to two of those talks now. The first one was in guitarguitar in Birmingham and Bernie Marsden was there to play a few tunes. He was really engaging and funny, the crowd asked some good questions and were a pretty decent mix of ages.
The second one was down at Peach guitars and he spent some time pulling different guitars off the wall (not just prs) and explaining what he looks for when testing guitars at the prs factory and when he's shopping himself. There was no ragging on other brands at either event.
Both talks he hung around after chatting to people who stayed on, Bernie Marsden was actually pretty funny.
I also know a guitar builder who attended one and when Paul found out he had one of his guitars with him he asked to see it and spent some time going over techniques, material choices, finishing etc.
Anyone I know whose met him have always said he's happy to chat about other brands and not just his own. It's weird that your experience was so different, off night I suppose.

I covered mine in envirotex so it doesn't rub off through playing.

It could have been a very interesting conversation about art, design, market research, etc. But the few students that were there were outnumbered by mid aged fanboys whose questions and commentary derailed the entire thing.
Maybe that's why he was grumpy? My then girlfriend certainly didn't bring me there because I was interested in the program.
This is a very good looking group of people here. Could I just go around so I know who the hell I'm talking to... self inflicted problems this guy said. The people that are friends of mine that called to say, Donald, the new guy is a bigly mistake! I had the most successful presidency in the world and I won the last election. I believe people like sex a lot. By the way,I said, they would have never won it if not for dead people.I won the previous election too by the most votes ever in history. But I will say, I almost broke my rules about politics and religion. I love the Mexican and Chinese people, and they love me, especially the rich ones who buy my apartments or stay at my hotels or play on my golf courses.Yah, we're dealing with a self inflicted problem called Joe Bi.....(ooops, almost broke my own rule of no politics or religion.....)

Not trying to start a fight, just trading a good natured barb for another. I am sure we agree on values even if our ideas about them are different.Could we please not start down this path
Well that’s part of the problem. But then, what do you do with it during the show?
