What's on the drawing board? 🎨🖌️

Great thread!

I'm still on holiday, but working on some graphics. Originally planned for UV prints at Tayda, but once I get them through customs they'll end up nearly €20 an enclosure. I looked for a vinyl printing option and it looks like I can get some done locally (in Germany) onto some plain white or black enclosures for under €10 per enclosure total. Half price really makes a difference. If it works out then I'll start redoing older @MichaelW type builds as well.

Here are the current WIPs... feedback welcome!

Nice!
I really like the repeated imagery on the Kliche.

If I were to offer critique, I might say that illustrious multi-colored letters get harder to read as they go down in size, so the lettering on your Mojito might require more squinting than the Ocelot, for example.

Cool designs and colors, thanks for sharing!

I think you’re right. Just looking at it on my phone makes me squint.

And a few more... feedback welcome! (Ignore the spellcheck underline)

I like ALL of these!
The Acetylene is really 'doing it' for me. I like how the controls are boxed-in on the top. The yellow is very strong but it's not too strong for acetylene.

*One thing I might notice is the bold black line of the rear playing card. It's the only black you've got in the layout which becomes a bit of a focal point if it's not balanced by more black in other areas.

Yeah. I may make that a dark dark grey. I was trying to keep in theme with the AC 30 design (with yellow instead of gold, but I’m a sucker for bright yellow), but straight black is always a bold move.

In the first moments of planning out an Amplifyfun faceplate for an eventual build. Trying to source grey and blue rocker switches, otherwise I'll have to just get all white and try RIT dyeing them.

Any Guesses?

Great idea for a thread Dawson!
Thank you and thanks to others (designers and non-designers alike) for providing feedback.

I keep talking about upping my graphics game, but have yet to do so. I've still not submitted a few contest designs for other threads and those contests are already over... the backlog is real and ever-growing. Nonetheless, this thread is inspiring me to push at it again and I hope to have something for this thread soonish.

I like the color of the text against the enclosure. I think its a little more classier than the first! (Is classier a word?) :ROFLMAO:
Yes, yes it is an adjective (the use of which is becoming a lost art), but...

A guideline for creating/coining words is that it should be fairly easily understood, whether from the context or otherwise. Create new words from portmanteaus (combining sounds/meanings of two or more disparate words, which has given us words such as "brunch" and "labradoodle" and PedalPCB's very own "ProtoBoard") or modifying old ones, or... whatever. It just needs to be understood.

So if you'd said "I think it's a little more kalukaikamikihutz than the first..." nobody would know what the hell you meant. Is "kalukaikamikihutz" a size, a colour, an epithet?

If "classier" wasn't already a word, it would have been after your coinage and use.

I know you've already mentioned that the porcine image is falling out of favour, but if you do go with it...

Suggestion from a known non-graphic-savvy sap... I'd move the graphic (or the footswitch) so the stomper is coming out of the mouth like a giant tongue-piercing. Moving the graphic further to the edge (as opposed to moving the footswitch) might still have enough weight/emphasis for the screaming, and allow more room for the radiating intensity effect around screamer's head.

Of course, I like fun LED placements, so I might switch the footswitch/LED positions so the LED becomes the TimbreMan's epiglottis.

Either that or make the LED a glowing booger...

"Space Balls" image would be a good'n for the Bass Balls PCB.

And what if, just "what if"... the LED in the static scream moved and became a ball-gag?

YOUR OCELOT IS AWWWWWSSSSSSOMMMME!
The eye, it's that gazing eye!...
