Happy to oblige. This is a Boothill amps 5E3 kit. I wasn't too crazy about this amp when it was done (hence why it has no cabinet lol). It turned out perfect, just like it should, but it just wasn't my sound. The clean sound is to die for, like with my US Strat, just classic Fender glassy clean tone. But I rarely play clean. And if you crank it full volume to get a more over driven tone, it's too loud for the house, and will damage your ears. This new pedal on the other hand, makes the amp sound killer at manageable volumes. Just what I needed. By the way I tried my low watt Weber load dump on it and it didn't sound good. Nothing like this pedal. Whoever came up with this Klon original design has some skills. It sounds way better than my brittle, trebly Tube Screamer (sold) or my G2D Custom Overdrive (sold).Awesome. Let’s see the amp too!
I haven't laughed that loud in a while. Thanks.“Botched chord fingering” = jazz…
Thanks I learned something.Because it’s a buffered bypass, it needs power to pass signal through the components whether it’s engaged or not. True bypass pedals don’t need power because you’re sending the signal directly from input to output via the footswitch.
Can he get me an Eagles hat?My bad...
"but honey, I'm selling the 'extra' ones on Reverb, so it basically balances out..."
True story though: my best friend from high school has a recording studio and is also has a side gig as the executive producer for KCMO radio, the Chiefs sports channel. I'm trading him a custom tweaked OCD for one of the hats the team and staff got for winning the super bowl. So,,, there's that...
I wish I had read this before I separated the boards, LOLAlso I read somewhere that someone kept the two boards connected while they soldered in the 6 wires. Then broke the boards off after. That makes holding the two boards in place while soldering super easy. I think there's enough length in the wires to be able to bend the hinges up and down until the little board breaks off.
