Hello Everybody!
(Hi Dr. Nick)
Remember that? Those old episodes still hold up. I recently was notified by Youtube that I got 500 subscribers, me!?!?!, what! How cool is that? It was really great to get some positive news, you see last year sucked for me. In absolutely every flipping way possible it was a pretty bad year for me but the postive side of my life has been putting all of my free time into making videos and doing this hobby. Getting to share my builds with everyone has been profoundly rewarding but has become quite the commitment.
I started to get a little burned out around October and was looking to reboot and what I could do to make this a bit more fun. Then @Pauleo1214 asked me to check out one of his guitars which lead to me making my favorite video of all time and really reset the spark of DIY and pedals again.
I decided I needed to make a change to make certain parts of this easier for me and better for all of you. First up is changing the format of the demo videos, I am currently drawing and learning how to make animated titles. Then will will get to the intro song demo and then the story time painting talking bit and I have a brand new iPhone 14 to use as the overhead camera and it looks sooooo much better than what I was using before. Then we will transition to a "Three cool sounds" section which will be focusing on the pedal and using it with a variety of amps and guitars. I am very fortunate to have some cool amp builds and would like to highlight them with the pedals, plus it will be fun to showcase stuff with a 50 watt plexi on 10.
With the three sounds it is going to make my editing process significantly shorter and will be very beneficial to me.
With the addition of a new overhead camera also comes the new ipad that I have been using to edit with and have been amazing. I use this art program to draw in stupid stuff for the videos on the fly and it is super fun to use. I expect a lot of low brow crude animations in our future.
I also have a myriad of projects to complete this year and playing on documenting everything from baritone neck swap to hydro dipping to pick up swaps to amp repairs to headphone playing to Destiny Behemoth. There is so many neat projects I look forward to including you all with. The Databus project is going to be a very interesting one....
Thank you for all of you who watch these videos and take the time to bullshit with me about them. It means a lot and don't worry there are plenty more cat piano videos coming up. Meow meow meow meow Meow Meow Meow meow meow meow......
