Yeah, I've never been a huge pick up snob but that's kind of the point of this project. An excuse to use pickups that cost more than the entirety of the remainder of the bass and that's just fun to me. I had the novak already so that doesn't count towards the total cost, right? 2016 money isn't real anymore.

Haven't been planning on buying any pedals since I started building, but I couldn't help myself when these Catalinbread Soft Focus B-Stocks went on sale. Been dreaming of this pedal!
Doesn't look like @Robert is coming up with anything like this soon, so I bit the bullet and bought one. I mean, I can create some similar sounds with a combination of different pedals, but what this offers all in one pedal is unique and amazing. Can't wait til it arrives!

Was home sick today, so my Tayda order coming in early was a welcome surprise.
Don’t want to spoil the fun, so here are some very mild teaser images to get the brains going without giving too much away. Let’s see if any of y’all can come close to guessing what’s going in all 15:
Note* I haven’t taken any of them out of the shrink wrap yet, and these are terrible pictures rn. I’ll have better-lit examples later to show off the colors some of y’all were curious about.
Quite happy with how they all came out so far as I can tell right now. Only gripe is that one of the sand black prints is crooked by a degree or two, and offset to the left by around 3mm, which is pretty noticeable since the whole thing has a border in the design. I may contact Hugo about it since it seems beyond normal alignment tolerances, but I’ll have to check my file first to make sure I didn’t accidentally move the artwork on the artboard or something. My first two enclosures done with the drill service (one using the line cutting option too) came out absurdly well, so I will absolutely not hesitate to do more using it in the future!

A few more things to add to the never-ending build list: Clandestine, Titania2, Death Cap, and the TS-50 and Ember from Aion!
Don’t you (typically) want the log pots for volume anyways? Seems like a common sub for circuits that call for linear for volume.

That’s what I’m thinking too. I may just use them. The distortion should be all on anyway, right?
Not sure which circuit it is but YES, the answer is always yes for full gain! Although, if you were going that way, then save a pot and a hole and just jumper/fixed resistor the gain

I ordered a few of the funky (aka spendy) knobs that the reverb seller Black Zap offers. While I won't do it often, I'm pretty stoked to have orange knobs that don't burn me eyes. I put them next to one of the widely available orange knobs that's on my swaw for a little comparison. The blue grey are really nice too.
