Those who have been around the last years know the impact which @fig had on the community, directly and indirectly. In his absence, we should honour what he gave and give back a little.. so I give you.. The Fig Appreciation Contest!
My challenge is this, create an homage pedal to @fig ! It can be a renamed existing design (Fig Face? Fig Screamer?), a tweaked design (King of Figs?), or a completely new design (The Flaming Fig!). The only caveat is that you have to commit to making it open and shareable to the community. The best design(s) will be forged in DipTrace, upon the flaming computers in Mount Doom, to be shared amongst us all.. because that is the lesson which @fig taught us.. to share and build something!
As a reward for winning, you will receive an abundance of PCBs, which will need a proportion shared amongst locals, and the fame of giving back to one who has already given so much!
But wait... I'm not a circuit designer you say.. well.. these pedals will need graphics! So we will also be running a contest for the best graphics for the winning designs!
This is a contest not so much about the prizes and rewards, but about appreciating one who has made such a difference in our community.
So get your tin foil hats on and go design something!
