But I was actually going to post something about nature and especially the critters in my yard. Seeing the first hummingbird the other day after a month without definitely brought some smiles. This is an older pic, but pretty much everyone loves babies:

I'm torn between emotions with the birds. I'm blown away by the cardinals and hummingbirds but at the same time want to twist their little heads off for crapping all over my car. I mean, it's disgusting!!!

We have a swallow's nest on our front porch right now- 5 baby birds that turn around and drop their shit right over the edge. Even with the power washer it won't completely come off of the concrete!

Creek near where I live. I often go for walks along its banks. Where this shot was taken is maybe 200m from a busy road bridge and even closer to the edge of busy suburban sports oval, but in this little area the trees soak up the noise, it's quiet and you can pretend you're in the country. Most of the time all you hear is birdsong...
