🔥 SG fever! 🔥

It will get a LOT of use this winter! My arthritis goes freakin' crazy at temps under 74... To the point where my frozen shoulder starts hinting at coming back. Anything to keep from running that thirsty heater I have in the attic. It's so big it looks like I have the space shuttle stuck up there :ROFLMAO:

However......this wouldn't be a whole lot more..... ummm.... I have an extra case, wonder if it'll fit.....?

Case in point about white SG's and how the world totally screws with you sometimes.
The 2013 white SG I just ordered from Guitar Center? This one popped up the NEXT DAY. Probably would have bought this one.
Way better pictures and probably a darker board. But a few hundred more than I wanted to spend. I'm sure mine will scratch the itch. And atleast there's a return guarantee at GC.
It sold in about 20-24 hours. I was surprised seeing it still for sale earlier today when I woke up.
Don't judge me from my watch list!

I'd be a bit leary about that....The small print at the bottom says :
The STRATosphere is not an authorized dealer or reseller of Gibson products. Therefore, Gibson products purchased through The STRATosphere are not covered under warranty by Gibson Brands, Inc.
Oh you're right for sure. You're losing out on a warranty even though it's a new body. But I've been pleased with what I've gotten from them. Did a strat project through them. However they do it, they get overstock or some factory second stuff, take it all apart, and then sell it. So all the stuff is "new". I've thought twice about it, but all the parts I've gotten were in perfectly new condition. And they disclose chips/damage and mark it for less.

It's a good deal if you only need the body or a couple other things. If you need to purchase everything else anyways, I'd just get a regular new or used one. If you price the body, case, tuners, pickups, hardware, you won't save much.

You seem to glossed over the part that they are not an authorized Gibson dealer…

I saw it but I'm not sure what to be worried about. Is it a concern of getting a fake or something like that?
As a programmer, I've had people look me in the eye and lie about stuff, when I had already looked at the record with their user id and was trying to find out why before I went to their boss and told them who did "xyz" as was often my assignment in a business environment.

This makes me question all sellers. I ask myself the question "where does someone that Gibson won't sell to, get a bunch of Gibson bodies and necks?" Couple that with the hiding of the serial numbers to "stop potential counterfeiting" which of course works both ways as in "so you can't verify it's legit" and my spidey senses start tingling!!!!

Now, it is well known that Gibson does not sell damaged goods, so it couldn't have come from a liquidator. Which leaves the only possibilities of theft or counterfeit.
