PCBguitarmania recommendations?

I was going to request the Black Arts Toneworks Quantum Mystic on the Project Wish List but I feel I have been posting too many things there already. But I came across the PCBGM Black Mystic and saw that they also had the Flaming Space RIng. I searched them both here to confirm that others had built them succesfully. Any other recommendations from PCBGM? I gotta grab a few more pcbs to get free shipping. I am wide open for suggestions. other than low gain drives. I am good on low gain drives. thanks for any input

I have "Kloned Centaur" PCB at home but haven't built it yet. It looks fine according to reviews. It is a Klon in 125B format with a switch to select diodes.

FWIW I'm planning on waiting until Black Friday and then picking up the Black Mystic. I've also heard it's been successfully built, but I have enough backlog so I don't have to rush. Probably the Black Sheep or whatever it's name is, too. Not sure if there's much else that interests me, they do some preamp pedals that seem to be at least somewhat unique, but I haven't heard great things.

Echo nightmare is great. Buy that one. Plus I love the keepressor.
Man, the top ground pads on the Echo Nightmare are tempting, but PCBGM is something I don't want to support while Moonn is something I do want to support, so I think I'll eventually get the Drömtydning.

Also this part in the description does not inspire confidence:

In this first prototype, there was a missing capacitor in the front; you just need to wire it in between the 3pdt and the IN pad. Plus, an external wire as present in the picture of the final build!

Agreed, I am mainly looking for PCBs I can't get from a more reputable source haha. If there were PPCB options for the Quantum Mystic and Flaming lips Space RIng this wouldnt be a conversation hahaha.

I built the Nordic metal which is a metal zone. Only issue is one of the pots was is reverse so I wired it to function properly. Also the df-2 cheif feedstortion worked fine. But outside of that I didn't want to get anything I couldn't get elsewhere

Check my notes on the Mystic in post #6 of the thread below. The documentation used to be all screwed up with things labelled wrong.
It's good once it's built!

The Quantum Mystic is essentially a Dist+/250 with an op-amp based TMB tone-stack after it.

So you could roll your own with one of these:

followed by

Box and All EQ

or
Cold Turkey EQ

Just about every PCB supplier has boards for the Dist+/250 and a simple EQ, for instance:
GPCB's EMEXAR & TwEQ;
ELS's Drivestortion and Undercut;
etc.

You'll just need to adjust values by comparing the schematics above with the original QM, subbing in the QM's values.
Not an exact clone in the end but something so very close if you plug in those QM values.

FLAMING LIPS
Deadend FX's Wurmloch, PCB sold via Pusherman. (Can't get any Pusherman link to work).

I read the vero tutorials. I am gonna give this a try on vero rather than buy from pcbgm. plus the space ring doesnt seem all that complicated on vero either.... this is gonna be a fun can of worms

I've done a couple of very simple builds on vero (Golden Fleece and a Meathead variant), and it wasn't hard at all. You just need to be careful with the locations obviously, but as long as you take your time and double check everything it doesn't seem to be bad. Also helps if you have a good tool for making the cuts, I have a small hand file with a pointy end which works, but some sort of a better tool than that would be recommended.

I don't like offboard wiring, and since the pots are all wired that side is worse with vero, but YMMV. I've since switched to only using solid core wire, so it might be better for me now too.
