My OTHER next Tele...a pictorial...8-22-23 another "Final" Update

I missed this when you made the first post. I love it. Are those Filtertrons the Classics or Classic+ ? I was jonesing hard for a Cabronita tele for a while and never found a good enough deal to jump on.

She's beautiful

I've lived for 5 months with a TV classic in the neck of my tele and I'm going to end up swapping it for a single coil. It's good enough but I just don't feel that I've been able to bond with it

It's definitely a different sound. I wouldn't have a filter in my "main" Tele. But for a different sound for certain parts it's killer.

After mulling this over for a while I decided to add a Bigsby on this guitar.
I originally tried the GuitarFetish Xtrem. Unfortunately, great concept, poor execution. Lots of play in the arm.

So I said screw it, I'll put a real Bigsby on it. It was only a $20 difference between the import "B50" and the 'Murican made" B5. So I went with the B5.

I was originally planning to get the Vibramate Shorty Notched Tele bridge plate.

But man, $70 sounded kinda steep. I had an extra aluminum bridge plate that I never used, so I decided to make my own notched plate.
I may wind up getting the saddles from Vibramate though. I need the grooves to be a bit deeper.

And now you don't have to explain to the wife what the credit card charge for "vibramate" was for...

I do have one final tweak. I ordered a "taller" spring for the whammy for a but more travel.
The stock spring looks to be about 7/8" tall and I'm bashing my knuckles.

Hmmmmmm.....so I'm looking for a set of saddles with a more even groove to keep the strings from popping out.......

There's these from Vibrate.......$50......

And these from MusicLilly.....what am I missing here???

I think the Vibramate ones have a slot on the front end of the screw so you can set intonation from the front. But I notched the set I have in there now with s Dremel wheel and voila.....
