What's on the drawing board? 🎨🖌️

I'm a cheeky B and like to save the whole reveal for the build report, so here are some teasers of the last 3 builds of this year:

But as a consolation prize here are some abandoned designs from a decade ago (typos and all!). No idea how I would've produced them then.

This is one I’m saving until the build report to show off, but I figured I’d share a little hint.
This is just a quick mockup to get the size and placement right within the scope of the rest of the design. The actual version on the graphic will have the wider spikes a bit wiggly, and the face will be greatly improved, just to name a few changes.

Anyone get what it is? There’s a big hint that I left in…

Paragon?

Should finally get a chance to finish up some designs on Friday since Thursday is when my last final project is due.
Anyone try the new dark champagne enclosure color? Not available for 125B currently (‘sold out’) but some of the other enclosure sizes list the color as being in stock

I'm adding the 12AX7 gain stages to try and goose this old projector speaker from line level up to instrument. I may just nix the 6c5gt but I wanted to try it first because....more toooobes! It's been a fun little first tube amp! Big thanks to @RetiredUnit1 @Erik S for their help identifying and getting a baseline for this circuit!

Ok, now this is more like it! Leo almost always had the high/low input setup with dual 68k's in parallel, which comes out to about 34k, so your 33k for a single pickup is right on the money. 25uf/1.5k cathode bias. uh huh!!!

I had planned on putting on the polyurethane on the bassman cabinet I stained last week, but it's cold and raining. So I've cleaned up my workbench and am getting ready to solder on the components on my 5F6-A build. Dual trim pots for the bias, and test points right next to the trim pots, biasing will be a piece of cake! Going to also have a three way NFB switch. Internal HT fuse, star ground, and rectifier backup diodes in case the tube blows so A/C isn't fed to the power caps (boom).

I like to use turrets. They're about ten cents each, so more expensive than eyelets but it's SO much easier to solder multiple wires.

Did you do the math on adding a new tube to be sure the transformer will power the tubes and heater? Depending on how many amps the transformer is capable of, you may or may not have enough power for another preamp tube.

I did not. I literally just pooped the princeton pre section into my schematic. And that's from Mike Freda's 1 watt princeton schematic. I thought about the math, but never did it. Not even sure how I could begin. I did the Uncle Doug windings count!
I also had the thought last night of just rewiring the V3 octal for a 6sc7, 6sj7 or a 6sl7. All are duo triode instead of the single triode that's in that position now. It should be enough gain to go from line to instrument level.
