She's a beauty. I think my next bass is going to be a Precision, but who knows, I haven't found one that speaks to me yet, and there's a lot of competition...Going to say the American Standard P-Bass that I bought new in 1998. It’s stock aside from the pick guard, and I’ve used it for punk, jam bands, country, and everything in between, and it’s never once let me down.

Ya, it’s grown to be a part of me since I’ve had it so long. I got it from Musician’s Friend back when you could break it down to four payments with no credit check back then. It was supposed to have a rosewood neck, but I’m glad they sent the wrong one. She's a beauty. When I was young, I bought a lot of equipment from a music store in Dayton, Ohio called the Drinking Gourd. They had a "rent-to-own" program, where you could rent equipment for 12 or 24 months (I can't remember), and after that you got to keep it. I probably ended up paying twice as much as if I had just bought it, but I didn't have a lot of money, but I could afford to "rent" a lot of gear that I otherwise couldn't have afforded.I got it from Musician’s Friend back when you could break it down to four payments with no credit check

Before that it was a 1980 kalamazoo ES-347, but I stopped using it because I got the pickguard signed by Les Paul.

Oooh, does it have one of those formica tops or whatever they were doing back then? For many years I played with a guy who had one. He'd refer to his Reverend solos as "testifying," ha. Have always thought they were super cool and unique.Late 90s Reverend Rocco. Bought it when I was 16, been my main squeeze ever since.
