What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

Build looks great! What drill template did you come up with?

What drill template did you come up with?
So I used my laser to come up with the template basically. Measured the PCB, jacks, and switches and placed them where they would fit and lasered a small dot where to drill

My first time breadboarding a harmonic percolator and man this circuit does not disappoint! This has to be one of my fave fuzzes of all time hands down! At the end of its gain range you get a ripping Velcro fuzz that IMO sounds incredibly good when you switch it over to the Si diodes. Ease off the Harmonics a little bit and you get a beautiful buzz saw fuzz without all the extra artifacts! Definitely making a board for this to add to the collection!

I tried finishing up the Chalumeau I have already populated (just missing pots and offboard wiring, plus the extra toggle for clean mod), but turns out the B1K pot I used for the previous Lizard Whatever was meant for the Chalumeau and now I'll need to do a new order to finish it up.

So I turned my attention to the ill-fated Hydra where I messed up by using tantalums for the 1uF caps, which were polarized and most of them were the wrong way around. But good news, I managed to desolder them and stick other 1uF caps in their place! Desoldering itself was a breeze (I'm using a thicker tip on the iron which I suspect helps a bunch there), although I still had a horrible time cleaning out the holes themselves (maybe I really need to invest in one of those fancier solder suckers instead of the blue cheapo). But I just stuck the new caps just partially through the holes with solder in (since it's hard to get them deep when you need to keep two holes melted at the same time), and I can report that it works just fine!

I'll look into maybe doing a build report tomorrow, for this and the Good Vibes both.

My heavily modded Ibby now has a split pickguard, because I finally got sick and tired of detuning and lifting the whole pickguard just to get to the electronics (which of course will be extensive).

Looks good and effective
Is that extended scale? Noting the extended "routing" behind the bridge

I got a chance to replace the busted monitor pot in my tascam M-106 mixer. The good news is that it indeed passes audio. I was supposed to get a replacement fader for channel 5 yesterday but it required signature confirmation on the one day I left the house.

It still needs a good cleaning inside and out, fix the meter lights, replace the missing fader, straighten the fader posts on all the channels cuz every single one is bent, find a suitable knob for the monitor pot since an original one is unattainable, and make some new sides, and possibly a wrist rest.

Doomstick II on a turret board (needs a little cleaning up yet). Messed up the layout on the output cap/resistor and accidentally put them in parallel. Couldn't figure out why it sounded so muddy when it was great on the breadboard. Doh! Ended up just having to put them in series as best I could as there wasn't room to add another turret and make it work. I've since completely redid the layout if I ever want to build it again this way.

Now to get the vinyl sticker made for the enclosure and get this thing boxed up.
