Brand loyalty!

I've always liked pretty much everything. Back in the early 80's I had all my pedals ripped off at a Nashville showcase (original Univibe, Dynacomp, Deluxe Memory Man, some cool Systech and Maestro stuff) and it took all the wind out of my sails. I replaced it with cheap stuff I could find just about anywhere that could get me by. It also forced me to strip back my approach to a more guitar/amp approach, mostly because I was broke.

My goto's though became a Dan Armstrong Red Ranger, a Boss BF-2 (Still love it), and a Dynacomp or Boss CS-2 pushing the front of a 50w Marshall.

These days I'm real partial to TC Electronics (love the Nova delay) and am a big Line6 fan (MM4 covers SO much territory).

Looking at my pedalboard and considering what pedals I also have that sometimes get swapped in and out of my pedalboard it's definitely BOSS. The only other companies I have more than one pedal of is MXR (Dynacop mini and a DIY Phase 90) and EHX (POG2 and Pico Pog).

I understand that you appreciate pedals that offer unique sounds and features, but are still practical and reliable. Keep exploring and experimenting with different pedals to find what you like.

EAE's time based effects are the only non diy pedals I have left in regular use. The effects in themselves are good and unique plus the preamps in the hypersleep and sending v2 sound so good I like having them at the end of my chain even if they're turned down to add the extra toan. They just announced a new DSP based pedal, the Prismatic Wall, that looks really cool, here's the video from the announcement email.

Edit: Although, @dunkindonuts promised a new DIY board a hundred years ago and it still hasn't shown up despite several restocks and releasing of other products that might actually make money, so I say we clone everything they make.

I watched that! It sounds pretty rad. I wonder what they’re going to retail for.

I have an irrational affinity for DOD. I trust their instincts. Probably because my first ever pedal (at age 15) was a DOD.

Probably no JHS on my board; I just don't dig their aesthetic.

When it comes to DIY: I veer toward EQD and Catalinbread. But I'll try just about anything.
