End of duty-free imports from China to USA

Finally heard from DHL (three days later) ...

Tariffs / Duties came out to 42% of the value of the order, which I must say, is slightly more than I expected.

W.T.F. Oh boy, sorry to hear that. Surely, this cannot hold. I think I'll place a small manufacturing order and see what happens.

Link? Not finding anything
Maybe this?

I'll have to look and see what percentage I've previously been paying. Customs fees aren't the end of the world but it's a bitch when you intentionally size an order to avoid them then somehow get grandfathered into the charge because your order happened to pass over the border during the 3 hours the law was being enforced. :ROFLMAO:

Don't like the current tariffs? Just wait 5 minutes.

I'm more upset about yesterdays tariffs that I'm being charged on a package that won't be delivered until next week and entered the USA before the threshold was dropped.

I mean I'm not really all that upset nor surprised, but still. :ROFLMAO:

I remember when JLC didn't charge hardly anything for shipping or sales tax. Boy, times is a changin'.

Just about every country in the world charges tariffs on goods from the USA. Doing a tit for tat would eliminate the need for income taxes. Trump has already hinted at chaging the IRS to the Tariff Revenue Service. Seems impossible but in the early years of the USA,Tariffs were used and the USA was richer than it has ever been in history and there WAS NO income tax.

Can you imagine how much more money you would have without that?

I aced college history....

That's crazy. Is there a further tax on the tariffed goods or is the rest of that DHL's "service fee"?
