What would you build?

Somehow, I accidentally dropped a Spin FV-1 DSP IC into my cart while making a purchase at my electronics supply company. I had no preconceived use for this.

What PedalPCB would you build with this chip?

The Hydra or an arachnid are both very useable no matter what or how you play they are safe bets, what I can tell you if you hate weird noise machines don’t build the HAARP… don’t get me wrong it works like it should but I have no Idea what to do with this thing other than waste time making stupid noises.

Well, if you don’t want it, I’ll take it off your hands. :)

But yeah, Hydra/Arachnid. Link to a major library of fv-1 patches: Patches

Great layout, you can use PPCB eeproms in it and the jacks are wired to the top of the pcb. Oh, and it's $2 cheaper even with current sale

Pretty much the same circuit as PPCB Arachnid but you could build it and get some custom PPCB eeproms and give both those awesome guys some love.

Edit: embrace the RefDes. This is the way.

Hey Patrick - reviving an older post. When you mention 'patches', does a builder need an EPROM programmer?
From what I’ve read, yes. That site you download the “patches” and then you’ll need a way to put them on an EEPROM via a programmer.

I think I got it right, based on what I’ve read.
