Now Playing... What are you Listening to Right Now?

I was reading the topic on EQD and their fear of bankruptcy, and the comments. I was thinking about this one:
Dutch Pride. The Urban Dance Squad.

A friend turned me on to this band recently, and while they lack typical rock instrumentation, they bring the ruckus.
Love this thx. I went to Rewire festival in The Hague with my family. Just this kind of experimental music.
Something more accessible I saw there was: Collin Stetson. Not even a whisper from the crowd. Full attention and listening. Very impressed.

And this band as well:

I'd hope the "not a whisper" was because the crowd was spellbound, Collin is amazing
We have something that is called the Dutch disease, not sure if it is just a Dutch problem: Crowd cant seem to shut up and listen. Collin was impressive. Moved me to tears

Saw Rosenwinkel in HK, great music and musicianship.
Really underrated player.

I've posted live from shows, in the past.
He was really good! I really enjoyed the show. Only problem is that my right ear kept ringing all night after the show. That had never happened to me so now I’m a bit worried I may be developing tinnitus…

Glad you enjoyed the show, sorry to hear you didn't wear ear plugs.

I religiously wear earplugs at any shows, actually sounds better because I'm not getting any distortion — besides that, deafness runs in the DNA, so I need to preserve whatever I've got left.

Bought some reusable earplugs (basically rubber nubs), used 'm a few times — went to see a friend's band week ago before last Friday and confirmed they're useless. Ears rang by end of the night.

So it's back to the construction-site day-glo abominations that need pinching-inserting-expanding...

Seriously, somebody should come out with earplugs that are BLACK.

Yeah earplugs are definitely a must... saw Rush in 2013 when I was a teen without earplugs and the venue was big enough that my hearing was only affected for a few hours after. Recently-ish went to see another show without earplugs, which was a mistake since the venue was quite small and I was standing 6 feet from the stage right next to a loudspeaker. This taught me a lesson and I bought some of these "concert earplugs" from Amazon which I used on a third show in a similarly small venue and they were a godsend. Gonna bring them again to tonight's Clutch show 🤘 tldr wear earplugs, kids, all the cool people are doing it

My absolute favorite thing is when a 500 sq ft venue has a PA meant for a concert hall.

The earplugs, they do nothing! They were full in and my tinnitus still flared up for a week.

Edit: this is the place: https://flamingocantina.com/
Holy crap, maybe it's not even 500, but they just crank it.
