Not even sure why I'm posting in here. I tend to stop building right now and don't need to win. I don't really like the IAIGF vibe so don't count on me to hate your builds. I'm mostly doing it to encourage @BuddytheReow cause he asked for breadboard entries.
So the circuit is basically the rangemaster part of the human gear animato, based on the polaris board from AionFX. Point being here my polaris build was a complete disaster, I did not know how to bias my transistors (NTE103 and NTE102, one being ECG brand and paid way too much for those.) and even attempted to add a blend knob.
First, I thought I fried one of the transistors because it would just not pass signal in sziklai pair... turns out after putting it on the breadboard that the second pair of resistors needed to be tweaked. The circuit called for 2x4k7 in parallel (bias switch removes one side) and upon testing I found out that 2k would be perfect. My 2k resistors may be a little out of spec because after auditioning some, I went with 2k2s that gives me amplification without distortion. Oh yeah, don't count on a sound clip, you'll have to believe it does work.
Now, I might take out the animato build and socket those in... later, I don't have time for this cause it means I'll also need to work on the blend circuit and I'm not motivated. I'm almost tempted to just solder it to a stripboard and stuff it in a tuna can and call it quits, but I'm also not lose time doing that.

Nice! Is this a stock Boost circuit minus the tweaked parallel resistor values for the emitter?
Yes, all other values are stock. At one point I had the resistors pairs each on a pot so I tried playing with values, but I finally kept the values for the base. I'm not too familiar but I guess that's a voltage divider ? I don't understand what I'm doing enough to play with that, I don't want to make the circuit unstable.

Shot in the dark here, but R2, R3, and R4 together work as a voltage divider. When the switch is engaged, R2 and R4 are parallel (new resistance value 50K to ground) to bias the base. With the switch disengaged its just 100k (R2). Is there a big difference sonically to you for the switch?
There is a difference yes, I would need to wire a switch, right now I just undo the ground side of R4 and R5 with my big fingers ... causing a lot of noise in the process so it's hard to say how much of a difference it does. My guess is that even little difference here might do a bigger difference when you add the muff part after this circuit. I'll definitely need to add a switch, I think I have a submini with pins lying around that I intend to use on a boneyard bd-2 built that I'm half into.

@Nic with your circuit as is I don't think it counts as a circuit design entry, but it's nice to see people breadboarding things.
However, if you were to add a tone control (BASS in this case) then I would consider this a more original circuit design. I will refer you to the Dung Beetle schematic for inspiration.
