Truefire course recommendations?

Sweetwater got me in a moment of weakness and I signed up for a year of access to Truefire.

I searched the forum and it looked like there are a few folks here who have used it. Anything I should check out?

Also - any general suggestions for how to navigate/ search the offerings? I don't know if it's me or the interface, but I felt a little lost searching around.

Eric Haugan gives off a bit of Bob Ross (paint instructor) vibe to me. Which is neither good or bad, just an observation.

If you like blues rock, the Jeff McErlain courses are good. I like his style and teaching over many of the others--his licks seem to come from a classic rock influence (e.g. a lot of british blues and zz top).

There are some older lessons from Mattieu Brandt that really turned on to some gaps I had in fretboard knowledge.

For fingerpicking I like David Hamburger.

I've been meaning to learn from some of the Jazz courses but don't know where to start.

And beware the auto renewal. I just got hosed by it unexpectedly
The cancel reminder I set in my calendar when you made that comment just popped up. Thanks for saving me a hundred bucks.

Truefire didn't end up working out for me. It didn't help that I found the app hard to navigate and use, but the bigger problem was basically their whole value proposition - 24/7 infinite access, practice whatever you want whenever you want. That sounds great, but turns out isn't what I need.

I've been taking piano lessons with a teacher - basically the opposite system. She makes me practice things I don't want to do on a specific schedule. Way more helpful.

I liked a few courses I did a few years ago on truefire but I couldn't keep up. I also had to drop my piano lessons I was doing maybe a year and a half ago. Only time will tell if I can manage to get back to aby of that stuff but I'm not holding my breath. Studying with a teacher in person is great though. I like that too

Instruments are patient. They'll be there whenever you're ready to get back to it. I'm just picking up where I left off 30 years ago on piano.
