I need some help with different chips. For the purposed of installing an MC33178 can I use either kind of chip? In the image the platform style is in the top open bin and the one below is an integrated chip MC33178p

The only reason the top one exists is because they stopped manufacturing the bottom one.

Thanks for the reply. Good to know! I have another question, i made a pedal from a blank, but I have no idea how to get the led in there working. Probably simple but I am stumped.
