Raincoat No signal LED works

Built 2 Raincoats and having the same issue with both, which leads me to think I must have put some components in the wrong place. I've built several of these before to give to other players so not sure what's up. I've tried different sets of transistors on both. They all checked out as working on my meter. Even tried some 2n3904s but no luck. Clean signal works fine, LED lights up when engaged, but no sound from either when engaged. Have looked over multiple times but...
FYI, the unboxed board did have transistors in place and was mounted in a box when I demoed. I'm hoping someone sees something here I've overlooked. THX

Finally threw up a white flag and called an old retired electrical engineer who can fix anything. Told me he had nothing else to do today and to bring one of the Raincoats over. Just texted and said he's got it working now but it really threw him for awhile. He said he had to run a jumper from C6 to Q3 and that he had to switch R17 and R18 as part of that fix. I asked him to send a pic of the jumper but he had already put it back in the box. Will send a pic tomorrow when I pick it up. Robert (assuming you see this thread) is there a possibility these latest Raincoat boards have issues? I hate to ask since I I'm just a novice. I'm just relaying what the engineer said. Thx

Not that I'm aware of but I can grab a few out of the bin and check.

I'm interested to see what was done, I'm not sure how a trace repair would require component swaps but maybe it'll make more sense when we see it.

So, here's the jumper. His text says "I have an output signal on the collector of Q2 but nothing on the base of Q3." So, looks like he jumped Q3 to C6. All parts checked out fine individually btw. And he switched R17 and R18. Said he broke the 12k while removing so he put in that larger resistor that is 12.1k. He said "R17 and R18 were reversed on the board labeling." Basically, mislabeled he felt. I can reach back out to him with any further questions.

Well... just reboxed it and no sound when engaged. LED lights up and and I've got a clean sound when pedal not engaged. So, I built 2 of these at the same time and both have the same scenario. Robert, please advise. Thx

Engineers...... 😞

The values printed on the board are correct, you had them installed correctly.

That jumper wire shouldn't connect to that pad, that's not where the trace goes. It goes to the pad beside it, you can see the trace leading away from the pad and going over to where the other end of the jumper wire connects.

Wanna send me one of them? I'll take a look.

Robert, the first Raincoat with the jumper and resistor change is still working. I tried the jumper on the other Raincoat that wasn't working but no luck. LED does light up though. Have you had a chance to look at a board from your bin?

At this point that second board has wires coming off left and right from constantly manipulating it for testing. I do have a 3rd Raincoat that I bought in the same order as these. Do you want me to send it to you?
