Color toner will not exactly look the same except over white. It’s worth a try on bare metal.

Maybe change the shades of your colors to pastel so they have more white in them which would then be darkened by the gray enclosure?

I'd print a test sheet with different shades of different colors so you can get an idea of which shade will give you the best results
