Bohemia...OK to skip the LED pads on the PCB?

I'm in the process of building a Bohemia PCB. On the last pedal I did, I found that the anode and cathode pads on the PCB were reversed. Desolder the old LED, install another with the poles reversed, and it worked like it should. I'm thinking on this one to skip the LED pads on the PCB and wire straight between the (+) pole on the DC jack and the upper middle lug on the 3PDT switch. OK to do this? And would I need to add a jumper between the LED pads on the PCB? Any info helps. THANKS

Have you seen this thread?

Since you said reversing the LED worked, why not just install it in the orientation that works?

The PCB also has the current limiting resistor for the LED, so you don't want a wire going straight from the 9v jack to the footswitch, otherwise it will bypass the CLR and blow the LED.

The Bohemia is one of the old boards where the anode of the LED (longer leg) goes into the square pad, while the cathode (shorter leg) goes into the round solder pad.

He's saying he built a different PCB in the past and wired the LED backwards and then had to desolder it, and he's now unsure about LED orientation and doesn't want to go thru that again on this second board, and is asking what he should do about it
