SOLVED Ocelot no octave

Hi all,

put together the Ocelot Octaver tonight and plugged it into the brand new Auditorium testing platform. When I plug it in, it turns on and the volume work, but neither octave works. I’m pretty sure I have version 1 so I did the IC mod of the legs per the instructions and soldered and cut leg 7 to leg 8.

please let me know if you see anything. The soldered IC leg is really close to a cap and the 220u fatty cap is really close to a lot of things but not touching (as far as I can physically see).

Any thoughts on how to signal test the octave parts to see what’s wrong in the circuit?

Maybe it's the picture, but the upper right 072 chip looks like it has a leg out of the socket.

Yep, that would do it. That's the peak detector for the octave circuit.

That’s it! Thanks so much. I stared at it too long to see that. And I already replaced one TL072 that I bent the leg on! All good and classic OC-2 sounds now!
