Tayda UV Printing

Does anyone know what, if any, changes need to be made to the layer order / names for an additional pass of white? Or does it just print whatever you have on the `WHITE` layer twice?

They have not added the dual white layer option yet. When they do it’ll be an additional charge, and I imagine will be included on the screen where you add the UV printing fee.

I added two printing upcharges (varnish, another hopefully for additional white pass) and sent in my superhetereodyne design - the upload form has an option now for "did you pay for an additional white pass" so fingers crossed that that's all it is

I think I'll give it a try....building a Break Action at the moment and want it have a nice enclosure.
In order to not reinvent steel again and have the correct drill positions, I'd like to implement the drilling template from the building documents: http://effectslayouts.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Break-Action_build-doc.pdf

Is there a way I can easily lay this drilling template over a template of a 1590BB with the different layers (maybe someone has an template for this enclosure size including some text/graphics in different layers)?

Would you recomment to print white text "twice" on a black enclosure? Or is it sufficient to have it in the white layer and again in the emboss layer?
I think it's obvious I have absolutely no clue of what I'm doing here...the only capabilities I own in this kind of works is creativity and an eye for aesthetics... :D

Tayda has the 1590bb enclosure template here: https://www.taydaelectronics.com/hardware/enclosures/enclosure-uv-printing-service.html

I’d recommend reading through that and this thread carefully to understand the process for prepping your art for print.

For the drill template, I open the build doc PDF and select the drill template from that and group it together, then I paste it onto the Tayda template. Then you can add your text and all that.

The white comes out more like a light grey on black. It still looks good (see pics in this thread), but the additional white pass is to make it brighter white.

Someone's gotta try black on black with one of top coat layer options before I do, I'm such a sucker for that look, eg

I got this from Hugo earlier today.

In our experience, black on black didn't work for us, we always use white undercoat. Gloss on top will make it more visible.

I have a current project that I'm going to try this on and report how it turns out. Hopefully in a week or so.

I just sent out 3 new designs to Tayda. All only using Inkscape and Affinity Designer. I even did one that is black ink on the black sand enclosure with the emboss finish over top. That way we can see what black out pedals will look like. Wish me luck.

In case anyone is wondering [ you probably aren't] the little thing in color is a rat fetus. I figured it was fitting since this is the life pedal and it is a modified rat. Clever huh :ROFLMAO:. It's probably just gonna look like a smudge when it comes back.

I SOOO wish you luck - I'd go through this process for something like that.

You guys are making this REALLY hard to stick to my personal one-and-done decree . . . . .

Those look great, hope the black turns out fine. I dig the Evil Johnny5/terminator

Google images is great for finding things to modify. I modified "Hey Laserlips, Your Momma Was a Snowblower" by Alex R. Kirzhner. I can't wait to see the enclosure finished. Closed Circuit made me thing of Johnny Five right away.
Wow, that drawing is dope. Sent another design this morning, but I'll have to wait. Since they've been offering the snail mail option, I'm gladly cutting out the extra DHL fees and I've made numerous smaller order. (Thinking, I don't need to order more stuff, but then). Now if only those PCBs can get back in stock...

Edit: here it is, made good use of your indicators. I added a GLOSS-V to everything, we'll see hot it looks on the patterns of the cab.

Does anyone have a decent picture of Tayda's matte army green enclosure? Trying to figure out if I should do white or black text on it and it's hard to tell from tayda's product photos

There.
The logos are actually grey on this (over a white underlay), I think the black will show, but a varnish might help. The white will pop out more, that's for sure
