My technic is: No new builds or PedalPCB order until I got all the graphics done for my inventory.

Now seing all those nice and pro Tayda UV printing, it could change my workflow...

Do you think we got hooked to soldering fumes? That's why we're all making those pedals. Right?

You get extras in case you mess up etching a plate ? OR you just build on the plates and molex connect whatever pedals you need into your very cool custom board? That's a great idea. Cheaper than buying the complete enclosure, too, I bet.

I've got a couple of builds slated for the plate style, one is a square-wave fuzz. Hope I can get all the pieces together, and time...

Believe it or not, I actually haven't ruined any plates yet..I'm sure I will in the future, but it seems I did most of my etching trial by error ruining full enclosures before I switched over to the modular thing.

Since my first little prototype board was a relatively successful, the plan is to fully commit to the plates and build more pedal boards, or pedal boxes in this case? I'm designing a massive one to hang on my wall to house the circuits I'm not using at the moment as well as a massive stereo one with an expression pedal built in- since they'll all be wired into the same box, I should be able to change which effect goes to the expression pedal with a rotary switch.

Working on re-housing a Polytune Mini and an EHX Super Ego as well. I should probably start a "work in progress" thread for all this- it would help me stay focused.

Don't forget to practice guitar. Don't forget to work on riffs and lyrics. That's the real hard part!

I have an embarrassing plethora of PCBs to get to. I filled the "PCB" drawers in one of my component shelving units and had to start using a shoebox, but the shoebox is full now. There's still some PCB suppliers I haven't even touched upon yet that I want to grab a bunch of circuits from them.

I get an idea, I get excited, I start assembling all the materials into a cleaned-out sour-cream tub or take-out container ... then need some piece of the puzzle that's unobtanium and get another idea for yet another project; or I have an idea for the graphic/decor but no way of realising it as I envision it so I move on to another project. Add, rinse, repeat. I've got a lot of half-baked ideas sitting in containers, so I guess I'm just a spud-boy and I'm still looking for my real tomato...

Ah, the "unobtanium blues." I feel that. I bought a number of PCB's from Dead End FX and I'm having a hell of a time sourcing parts to complete even one of them.. really exciting projects though!

Good luck with the graphic design issue- that's a huge hang-up for me also. I always wanted to be a graphic artist so the panel design is super important to me- I make all of my art from scratch and I have to make sure I've got a solid design before I solder the potentiometers in because a lot of times I'll have a different layout in mind than the PCB makers (SORRY GUYS!) The most exciting circuits usually take the longest because they deserve the best art and I'm left stewing for weeks in my own self-importance..

But hey, label-maker text on bare aluminum is a great look too- I do not recommend my method to anyone!

I know your pain. I can't help ordering anything that looks interesting when it comes out. And my art process takes a while so getting them boxed is not easy. I don't want to change it though. This is the box of PCBs waiting to be worked on and the second is just what's on my desk waiting to be finished. I have 30 ready to be boxed and 102 or so in various states of build. Plus I have another 11 PedalPCB boards arriving Monday.

my wife tells me I am running a non-profit organization with no clientele. One thing will most certainly lead to another. It's a rule of some sort, imagined and proven long before we graced the universe, by folks who apparently had nothing better to do other than play pin the tail on the obvious. It wasn't so obvious at the time mind you, but they weren't yet intelligent enough to have Google. Yet their simple musings somehow eventually produced the idea that we must busy ourselves with activities to compartmentalize our existence.

I have maybe 10 PPCB boards now plus some old GPCB and Tonepad ones that I probably will never get to. I have twin girls. They are almost 5. No nap time. No time to breathe really. So I keep trying to make time for soldering or drilling enclosures in between other stuff. That’s also why I am sticking to label maker instead of graphics! Once I get back into the office I will have access to a laser printer, so...

My daughter is almost 20 months old and we're lucky if she takes an hour nap, so I feel ya.

Were lucky though because we have her pretty well acclimated to going to sleep at 6pm (waking around 6-6:30) so we are able to have our evenings. It's just that for our evenings all I want to do is stare at a blank wall

I counted 25 PCBs and I have 6 that are somewhere between fully built and needing a hand full of components.

What's your PCB stock look like? I'm sure that there are many of you out there with a lot more than this!

You and me both brother. My basement looks like PedalPCB's warehouse overflowed into it, as well as Tayda's Enclosure warehouse and parts bin... Seriously, the last few months I build more pedals than I play! haha
