My first attempt was using some BL chips that were noisy as hell but the circuit was working. I swapped them with Cool Audio chips and it solved the noise problem

I had the same thing, then I noticed I put the ICs the wrong way around might be stupid but could be something to check

Well, it depends... Vero is easier to build, no need to create all of the tracks. On the other hand, with perf it's easier to follow the schematic and check correspondence in the layout

I made a quick breadboard to check voltages, I had 5v on the output so I put together the circuit on perfboard and wired it up It works surprisingly well! Here it is in all its glory!
