I had one and many of the crazier sounds in the demo are quite similar. It is a delay with a very flexible LFO section, the wave can be applied to delay time or feedback, creating some crazy stuff

Have you calibrated the trimmer for the cleanest possible sound? Another suggested fix is lifting pin 6 of IC3 but that might not do anything depending on your brand of IC
