I built a couple of tube amps but sourcing parts is so expensive and down the line all my diy amp sound worst than my monoprice 15watt amp xD if you want to get in tube amps for cheap you can't go wrong with that one

The Reaper side needs to be leaky to sound smooth. A low leakage one will give you a gated velcro fuzz. But if you lower your guitar volume you can easily smooth it out.
For the big muff side I never noticed a difference with hfe and leakage, all combinations sounded pretty much the same.
Whaaaaaa but I wanna believe in a world where we rode dinosaurs like horses!! Don't crush my dreams Chuck!
A Damn shame they didn't have enough space on that Ark T_T
This is pretty slick ! I started a multi effects on board guitar project more than a year ago too... Nothing digital but I am stuck at repainting the damn thing :x kept getting drips with the spray paint and just gave up. This thread is making me want to get that thing finally done!
I know I built a second one using 2n5458 instead of j113 and it had significantly (edit: or more, i don't remember exactly) gain than my first j113 one. If you socketed your jfet you should try other ones and see, it really makes a huge difference on the overall gain
Nice ! You found you're issue^^
To check if a foot switch is faulty just click it on and use a multimeter to check if the input or output is grounded. Put one lead in the screw hole of the enclosure and the other one on the lugs and jacks of your in and out.
Sometimes the inside of the switch...
Nice :)!! it really must depend on where you are. To Canada I never had a DHL order without custom charges :( but never using regular post for smaller orders .
