Why Did I Buy This Vol. 2

That feeling where you read a post, go "Hey that sounds like a good idea! I should start doing that", go to like it, and... I've already liked it. Whelp, see you next time when I (again) realize it would be a good idea.

Should I expect to pay Tariffs on Tayda Orders?

To be fair, for a lot of sites you have to prepay the tax, so it would make sense for the US customers to have to pre-pay this tax (which it essentially is) too. Even the intended function of tariffs (not sure what was intended in this case, but in general) is that the customer pays more for...

    First build component sourcing

To me it looks like the KD503A would be very close to the 2D503B, based on the graph. It's easier to see them if you click to disable a lot of the ones further away (so the beginning and end of the list). KD503A seems to be available in Europe at least, from a bulgarian webstore and a 100pcs lot...

Roland AP-7 Jet Phaser - let's get it working! (Aion FX Octatron)

Has anyone considered emailing Warm Audio to see if they know how to fix it? I wouldn't expect much necessarily because this is sort of competition for them, indirectly, if you squint a little, but it's worth a shot.

    Even more new Tayda colors!

FWIW, it's now been two weeks since my order of 13 enclosures (10 drilled and printed), and they would probably be ready today, except one (which was printed before the others) failed the QC, and now it seems an another one of the last batch has failed QC too. So possibly two weeks for an order...

Help: Sunn Beta Preamp Mid-Freq Mod

I did order a 4PDT switch to toggle between the two, I've got the Effects Layouts version so only four cap changes are needed (which the one 4PDT should be enough).

    Digital Microscopes

To the what now? Now I'm imagining a cartoon where Robert connects a HDMI to the PCB and it outputs the schematic on his screen directly.

    Legit LM308n ?

...I do wish I had some metal can op amps... Those literally aren't any better (whereas arguably there is a small difference with LM308/OP07), but they are cool.

    Legit LM308n ?

I knew about DSMCZ, didn't see them there. The Etsy link is more expensive than some real (I'm pretty sure) LM308's I know about, if there was something for cheap I might have been interested. But thanks anyway, it's not like I actually need them (I have a couple of 308's and 208's stashed in...

    Legit LM308n ?

Interesting, I can't really find any sources to buy them online though. Or I found some Ukrainian site where they were dirt cheap but I don't think they ship abroad, and possibly a bunch of russian sites I'm not touching with a ten foot pole.

“Up, Down, Daddy!” / Pearl OC-07

I see, yeah, from what I can see it was just those two components and was easy to fix.

“Up, Down, Daddy!” / Pearl OC-07

Thanks a ton! I always love it when people share gerbers, even if they're not something I personally would use. FWIW it comes out to around $80 (so 89€ with taxes) or so for 5 pieces for me on the cheapest shipping, so not really worthwhile by itself for me, but if there's interest in a group...

    Even more new Tayda colors!

How did it go btw, did it take 3 weeks? I would like to get a few matte blacks, but I guess I'll go with sand if it takes a very long time. Edit: Hmm, it almost makes it sound like it was an ordering thing and that it doesn't actually take three weeks to paint the pedals with that color? Very...

    Fuzzdog not shipping to US?

They do ship into the EU it seems, just not... Germany? Why Germany specifically, anyone know?

a RAT with extras sauce and another amp-in-a-box

I see. Those also match up for me just fine. The main part of the board does look similar in the relay version but the numbers are different, but at least the LED's are in a different spot. The relay part does sort of look like a daughterboard, or I thought so at first, but who knows. I'll...
