    What's on the workbench?

Should be a couple weeks. Yes, definitely.

    Is it contest time again?

Yep, it's almost that time of the year again.

Variable Brightness LED Meter on a Compressor?

The (discontinued) Pumpernickel has an LED gain reduction meter. I'm working on a PCB.

PedalPCB Blender - not much from tone knob or boost switch

Can anyone confirm that this is the common lug on these Carling switches? I can't find a datasheet that spells it out plainly.... I'm sure I have a switch somewhere but it'll take some digging.

Need a pedal idea for a specific enclosure

I love that this came from a time when one could make a claim like "Lightning-proof model" and it needed no fine print. Indoor use only... man, discipline was different when we were kids, am I right?

Need a pedal idea for a specific enclosure

That's a perfectly good power supply for a buffer.

PedalPCB Blender - not much from tone knob or boost switch

Yep, I do believe that's correct. I can't find an example where it isn't but I want to make absolutely sure before updating the doc. I've never bothered tracing the "classics" because I just assumed they were all correct at this point, but between this and the recent discovery that one of the...

    Missing Build Docs / Schematics

PedalPCB Blender - not much from tone knob or boost switch

Well this is interesting... It looks like almost all of the Fender Blender schematics floating around online have misinterpreted the switch wiring and mixed up the common lug. I've compared to every gut shot I could find, this original Fender schematic, and the Shields Blender trace. Almost...

The standard 6-knob template should work. https://drill.taydakits.com/box-designs/new?public_key=NkNwUHJsOWVTbi9RdEsxb256WFBadz09Cg==

DIY buffered junction box no signal pass.

That's correct, you'll have no signal if you do it that way. At minimum you'll need a patch cable between TO PEDALS / FROM PEDALS.... or you could just plug your guitar into the FROM PEDALS jack. You could add a wire between the switched tip lugs (that's the lug on the opposite side) of those...

PedalPCB Blender - not much from tone knob or boost switch

A guy I used to work for used to say "Six of one half does the other". I had never heard the actual phrase so I heard this for years before realizing what he actually thought he was saying. I just accepted it as one of those weird things old people say. :ROFLMAO:

PedalPCB Blender - not much from tone knob or boost switch

I'm not sure that will work.... Neop. 🙅‍♂️ That's exactly the opposite of what you should do, how can that possibly work? 🤯

PedalPCB Blender - not much from tone knob or boost switch

I didn't personally trace the Fender Blender, but I have traced the Shields Blender and I see something that might be relevant... Want to try an experiment? Looking at the left footswitch on the Blender wiring diagram, swap the yellow and green wires at the PCB.

DIY buffered junction box no signal pass.

Lower buffer: Plug a guitar into GUITAR, plug a cable from TO PEDALS into your amp. Middle buffer: Plug a guitar into FX LOOP RETURN, plug a cable from AMP FX LOOP RETURN into your amp. Top buffer: Plug a guitar into FROM PEDALS, plug a cable from TO AMP into your amp. Nothing else should be...
