Nope, for example, when it comes to electrical wiring the black wire is hot. Had a guy standing on a ladder tell me the white wire "will never shock you" ... I guess he didn't consider that a previous electrician could have mixed them up.

Probably familiarity and cost... Multi-turn is great for fine tuning but can be a bit annoying in a circuit where a wide sweep is desired. Another (minor) negative of a multi-turn is that you can't visually tell where it's set.

It's the uncertainty, delays, and surprises more than the monetary increase. It's difficult to make a solid plan when the price changes so drastically from day to day.

Yep, that's basically it, there's also a boost with pre/post order switch. There is a schematic available and while it's not too far off I suspect it's a best guess and not an actual trace of the Kilt. The Low Cut switch is missing and some of the component values are different... They do...
