i do for precisely the same reason. it's ok, not great, not nearly as customizable, but it does have a decent amount of customization: you can import models, and with some semi-clever math, adjust multiple settings during analysis. with some cobbling together, you can even output the data sets...

not sure if you are still looking, but i bought one of the pods, which comes with a daisy and it's own breakout board. the daisy can be easily removed, as it's just connected via pins. https://www.electro-smith.com/daisy/pod haven't build the terrarium yet though.

your tl022 looks like it has some weird discoloration on the surface... from one angle it looks like a crack. maybe try swapping it out for an op-amp you know works... i used a tl072 for my caesar and it worked fine.
