Bathtub Reverb - tube-driven digital reverb

mean I posted the schematics for it both on DIYSB and on FSB years ago so anyone is welcome to take a swing at it, but it was a beast of a project to squeeze into a box with SMD, I can't even imagine what a nightmare that would look like with through-hole components.
Thanks for that information Nathan, it's taken me hours to read both of those forums and then get the schematic drawn up in KiCad.
I am not sure if I would ever get to making a TH PCB for that compressor but at least I have the schematic now.
(In my mind I am doing cartwheels right now, that's definitely never going to happen in real life anymore).
Cheers
Mick

It was a beast to build, I got tired of making it :P I don't even remember how long it took to trace, but it was a lot. Effectrode makes an excellent product and I'm a big fan of their work.

Cool info I only tried the liquid blues and I thought it ripped. Cant remember how much power it took but it had a huge external transformer. That “Glass Nexus” and original “Timeline” would be great to try. Honestly wish the re-release some of these in smaller form factor.

Looks like Warm Audio put their spin on the 1176 and CE-1. I won’t link that or post pics though.

If I remember correctly I believe Fred Briggs did a take on the LA-2A over a diysb Or freestompboxes…I’ll have to check.

What would be the best delay time on the BTDR2 module?
I think medium might be best or should I go for a long delay ?
The SMD boards I have are spaced like the BTDR3 modules so they are no good in this build so I might as well buy a BTDR2 module.
Any recommendations from anyone ? (help!!!)

It's really a taste thing, personally I like the medium length modules as they feel long enough to get neat effects but not so long it feels unnatural.

I've looked at doing something with BTDR3, but haven't talked myself into it.

I wonder if the Bathtub reverb can do the "drip effect" often used in surf rock ?

Here is an example :

I' m asking because i couldn't find any demo ?

Can i ask where we can find the audio demo ?

You didn't answer about the drip effect ? Sorry if it is a stupid question, i just wonder how it sounds.
Oh sorry, I completely missed that. I don't have an audio demo, I don't usually do those because I suck at the guitar. Usually I'm lucky enough that someone else does it for me. I will say that from a circuit perspective the closest thing out there is going to be the 1776 Effects Rub-A-Dub Reverb, you can find a demo of that here.

Well I'm upset. Musikding just asked for me to send more PCBs, and in his email he misspelled Bathtub Reverb as Bathtube, and I like that better.

Bath Tube. Because it has a tube in it. It was right there and I missed it.

Bathtube Reverb.

Dammit.
I mean you can still change it :ROFLMAO:
