Marriage Keeper (headphone amp + UniCab)

I thought “Marriage Keeper” would be an appropriate name for this combo pedal. At some point, I hope my wife likes my guitar playing. However, I know it is terrible to hear someone play the same songs over and over or hear someone learn a new tune.

This pedal allows the opportunity to play silently and keep my marriage. Add your favorite preamp and reverb to the chain, and this pedal really rocks. Thanks to @amplifyfun for the drilling and printing.

How does it sound?

Searching for a headphone amp to test pedals or while working on breadboarding. I have a Marshall practice amp on the bench now, doesn’t sound all that great and could use that real estate for something else.

I don’t need anything like the Ox Box, that’s over kill so something simple like this would be great.

It has a nice clean sound. I place a preamp pedal in front of it and that makes it even better. I liked it best with the Cobbler (PedalPCB) or L5 preamp (AionFx). The headphone amp is a great space saver. I would go for it.

I was looking at the cobbler or maybe the Migfet or a dumble…….

……or maybe all three?

What sized box?

One thing I might consider is moving the headphone jack to the front of the box. My SSL audio interface has it in the back and it’s always getting tangled back there.

Great build!!
