I have several Choruses. A Liquid Chorus (I forget who makes it) , a PSK Chorus , EQD Sea Machine , Seppuku Mind Warp, and a Boss CE-2 clone. I love just a taste of chorus a lot for my tones but haven't found THE perfect Chorus yet. What's your thoughts on the Chorus pedal?

NICE
Never played one but definitely heard one
Wonder why no-ones done this in pedal format.......or have they?

I bought a Source Audio Lunar Phaser a few years ago and you can plug it into your phone to use their Neuro App. Majorly heavy tweaking can be done, but they also have a community that can post pedal settings which you can download to your pedal. Since the pedal I bought is in a line of pedals of theirs called One Series, I can download their Phaser, Chorus, and Flanger pedals to my Phaser pedal. It sounds crazy because it is, but my favorite Chorus was downloaded from their Neuro community.

There are so many great Chorus pedals out there, but the one I have on my Lunar is very unique which gives me tons of inspiration while jamming/recording.

Still have to build the Aion Blue Shift that I've been sitting on for over a year.

I would want to kill myself If I made something you already paid good money for dependent on an app, just my two myopic cents

The big difference from just a pedal is the dual power amp and the stereo gets mixed in your ears
You can try a dual mono setup with an isolated splitter and two amps. Put the chorus only in one of the two signal chains fully wet and you may discover that the ones you already have sound much different!

My current favorite is the Dimension C Waza. Not sure it counts as a traditional chorus though. I also own a Minifooger chorus but I think it sounds a bit too dark for my taste.

I don’t use my Home Brew Electronics Three Hound Chorus on my board anymore, (it is a bit noisy, and really cuts highs quite a bit)—but it comes out when I want something really dreamy and thick. I’m very pleased with the Ceasar (which replaced it on my board). Much quieter, and while it just can’t get as lush, most of the time I just want a more subtle effect anyway.

On bass the tech21 bass boost chorus is fun.
However the greatest that rules all is the Providence Anadime which is just perfect.

Also the chorus in the Source Audio Artifakt was nice too

An entire modular synth in a 125B sized box - with the downside that you have to program it with a laptop or phone … you get so many possibilities.

Trade off isn’t it? Functionality beyond imagination vs accessibility- it’s the source audio way.

Though the artifakt is a lot better at being accessible

Aion Blue Shift is very cool. I've owned both an original CE-1 and a JC-120 and very much regret selling both.

My goto, ironically, is the Line6 MM4. It does a useable version of the CE-1, Dimension D, and a DynoTronics Tri-Stereo. Nobody is going to believe you're using the real thing but by the time it gets out into an audience nobody is going to call you out on it.

I didn't have a CE-2 when I was a gigging bass player but the Whammy on detune mode was used all the time. Sounds glorious live.
By far my favorite bass “chorus” too. I’ve been meaning to learn how to make a little Attiny powered midi footswitch to cycle up/down the settings, and I 100% plan on adding two switches to immediately toggle to the shallow detune and 2oct harmony modes
