An early build here, I ordered the wrong size cap and somehow the LED doesn’t work. Oh well. It works but really the big question is if my high gain mode is behaving correctly. I’m linking to a YT vid of playing through it in bypass, low gain and then high gain mode. When switching to high gain mode I get a TON of noise and feedback. I’m not sure if it comes through on the video, but it seems disproportionate.

Anyone else experienced this? thank you!

There is a shit load of gain happening in that circuit, it will never be super quiet. A few things you can try to tame it a bit though:

Sand the paint inside the enclosure where the in/out jacks make contact with the metal. These are chassis ground points.

Clean up your wiring and shorten it up as much as possible, long runs of cable are basically antennae and when there’s this much gain going on it can be detrimental.

All in all it doesn’t sound too far off though, it’s just a gainy beast.
