Byzantium Question # 3?

The trimmers , 1 100nf cap and 1 unbelievably problematic .... 5pf cap. I have everthing but the 5 pf cap.
What I do have is a couple of options
1 - I have ceramic caps marked 10 that read between 0.072nf to 0.0.052nf on the capacitor setting on my DMM
2 - I have 15pf mlcc(?) caps (the lowest pf value aside from the ceramic ones I have)

To get a value I may not have, I have, on more than several occasions, used 2 values together in parallel to get the value I need

I assume that being the value needed is 5pf there is not a lot of wiggle room playing with the values here AND I just got my Tayda order yesterday and saw I forgot to get the 5pf caps.

Problem is
1 - I have no means of measuring the caps accurately. My DMM has a cap setting but I guess can't measure that low and my cheap Amazon multi function tester says unknown or damaged part or a resistance reading

2 - Again assuming the importance of the 5pf value putting 2 in parallel I have noy way of measuring those values

So! crossing fingers and hoping the 15pf are actually 15pf . 2 in parallel would give me 7.5pf . Is that doable and workable? for the 5 pf

2nd question-
I somehow made another mistake ordering my trimmers and now only have 20k but no 25k will a 20k trimmer still work?

Having no luck with my previous attempts at a flanger build I don't wanna get anything wrong with this one. Really appreciate any help with this . Thank you

Went to edit mode for this cause I was curious about the 1meg trimmer 's value. On most schemes and layouts of this pedal the highest value I've seen was 500k. just wondering why it is twice the value I've seen. Only mere curiosity is all. Thanks again

My eyes are staring unblinking at my computer screen waiting for a sign that some one has answered these (I believe and hope to be my) final questions

For caps, you'll want series not parallel to get to 7.5pf. It'll effect the clock speed, but not by much. I've used 10pf in this spot when I've built it

20k will work just fine, it's not terribly fussy about its biasing

AWESOME!!! Thank you very very much.
I knew I had a 50/50 shot at being right about the caps and after I posted it thought "Hmmm I should double check myself..................." that's as far as that thought went. Thanks again.
I think I'll socket that spot (just to be sure)

a tip for measuring small ceramic caps with low values.... is measure them added to a known value that your meter will measure and measure them together to get the value of your smaller cap...

Thank you I did try that . I used a 100nf and 220nf but the added small value did not register when tested just gave the same reading without the smaller value
