the new factory pedal has an internal charge pump that runs it at 24 volts, which probably gives it way more headroom and more output. i tried adding a 24v charge pump to mine, but for some stupid reason it didn't work out, so i added a clean Jfet booster to the output instead so i can get it way past unity and clean now, since i don't have to raise the "pre" control so high to reach unity. I like it ALOT better that way.
