That's a good point - for a reverb that goes into overdrive or distortion (or even fuzz), you don't need to be so hifi.I am a Beltonbrick user. First in chain so no need for a hifi verb
4 preamp tubes for one reverb. Really? What I miss here? I know MOD unit aims for compatibility about where it’s placed in chain, but that amount of dual triodes would be enough for a complete preamp with PI included. This spring reverb kit was on my list for a long time.
Agreed. There is only one answer and it is lexicon
This is why I bought a Daisy Seed, but haven’t tried making anything - I have downloaded some available reverbs, but they aren’t as good as what i can do “ in the box” with my DAW
Or there were a couple of the later RP pedals from the Harman eraThe shortcut to getting lexicon on your board is a used DigiTech polara
I've built (mostly) a Hooke. It's amazingSprings make for the best reverb for guitar in my opinion. The Spaceman Orion (dead end fx Hooke for diy) is my guy.
There's not a lot in stompbox form that will be as good as plugins in your DAW, even less cheap options, and nearly no DIY options (Daisy Seed has potential, we'll get their soon enough). The exceptions are the UA, Eventide, Strymon, and Meris pedals (I am sure I am forgetting a few).
Man I would love a pedal that had LiquidSonics Cinematic Rooms in it!!
