Raincoat - Difference between build docs and PCB

Just got this PCB to build and I noticed the parts list and PCB design in the build document is different from the PCB I received. Also the 3mm Red LED is missing on the PCB. I am guessing this is just a newer version but wanted some other thoughts, thanks!

When in doubt, go by the silkscreen on the Board

The LED symbol may look different to the build-doc, too, but I bet the LED is there.

The components were moved around a few years ago and the LED symbol was updated but nothing else changed.

Look for A-K, i.e., Anode (+) - Cathode (-)

well. it works, but i'm not impressed with it at all . not much volume or distortion. the circuit is similar to a big muff without the clipping diodes but build doesn't sound right and i've checked everything.

Yup, they were moved around. At least there is a doc and the BOM should be right.

It looks like you have 3K9 resistors installed where 390R should be.

fixed. i had 3K9's where the 390R's should have been.
